On May 29, the concert “Splendour Musicus” was held in the “Bulgaria” Hall, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the Order of Malta. The program’s topic was “Knighthood”-filled with baroque pieces from Vivaldi, Handel and Henry Purcell. The participation of the contra tenor David Feldman was truly exceptional.
In her speech, the Ambassador of the Order of Malta Ursula Hofter Zuccoli has made a brief review of the excellent diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the Order of Malta, both in an institutional and social terms. “The humanitarian, hospital and social activities promoted by the Order of Malta in Bulgaria have reached the number of 550 in 250 different localities” – stated the Ambassador. She pointed out the donation of “medical equipment, meals to homeless people, food packages and especially the numerous projects for disadvantaged children”.
Among the audience were many Ambassadors, representatives of the Catholic and the Orthodox Church, representatives of business and journalists.
